About Avery
Avery Hart is a triple and long jumper who joined Texas as a sophomore for 2026–27 after a strong freshman season at Cal. In 2026 she won the triple jump at the Jim Bush Legends Meet for her first collegiate title. She set personal bests in both jumps at the ACC Championships, 12.77m in the triple jump and 6.07m in the long jump, and reached the NCAA West First Round, where she jumped 12.90m with a tailwind. She arrived in college as an all-around jumper: a high school high jump record holder, a hurdler and a four-year New Balance Nationals competitor.
Hart grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, and competed for Buckingham Browne & Nichols in Cambridge. There she was the 2025 NEPSAC Division 2 girls track MVP, a three-time league triple jump champion and a 2024 AAU indoor national champion in the high jump and triple jump. She also played varsity volleyball, earning All-ISL honors twice. After a 2021 season with few chances to train and compete, she reached her high jump goal the next spring. At Texas she majors in Sociology, with a minor in Business and Public Policy.
A triple jump only works when three phases connect, and Hart brings that same sense of sequence to project work. As a Project Manager Intern at Feniex Industries in 2026, she supported coordination among the engineering, production and sales teams at the Austin maker of emergency-vehicle lighting, tracking schedules, organizing documentation and keeping work moving between groups. She pairs an athlete’s daily routine with a sociologist’s habit of asking why, and she earned All-ACC Academic honors while competing in two events as a freshman.
